# Log in

> **Controlled preview:** Portal login is not generally available in production. These instructions apply only to a shop explicitly enabled by the master rollout switch, tenant allowlist, and an authentication-method allowlist after the required browser/UAT evidence is complete.

Welcome! Here's how to sign in and secure your affiliate account.

## Available ways to sign in

The login page shows only the methods enabled for your shop. Wand requires at least one method before the controlled-preview portal can open:

* **Magic link** — enter your email and we'll send a secure, one-time sign-in link. No password needed. Just click the link in your inbox.
* **Password** — sign in with your email and password. If you've turned on two-factor authentication, you'll also enter your 6-digit code.

If both tabs are available, choose whichever you prefer. If only one is shown, use that method; the other method has not been enabled for your shop.

## Set or reset your password

* **First time / no password yet?** Use magic link to get in, then go to **Settings** to set a password.
* **Forgot your password?** Click **Forgot password?** on the login page and enter your email — we'll email you a reset link. Open it and choose a new password (at least 8 characters).

## Turn on two-factor authentication (MFA)

For extra security, go to **Settings** and enable **MFA**:

1. Enable MFA — you'll get a QR code / setup key.
2. Scan it with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.).
3. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.

After that, you'll enter a code from your app each time you sign in with a password.

## Trouble signing in?

* Make sure you're using the email your merchant has on file.
* Magic links and reset links expire — request a fresh one if it's been a while.
* Still stuck? Use the portal **Messages** or **Tickets** to reach your merchant.
