# Leaderboard and Motivation settings

Two separate tools support affiliate-program operations: the **Leaderboard** ranks affiliates, while the **Motivation** hub records readiness and configuration for related incentive systems.

## Leaderboard

The **Affiliate Leaderboard** ranks your affiliates by **commission earned** over a period. The top three get medals, and each row shows Rank, Affiliate (name + email), Clicks, Sales, Revenue, Commission, and Conversion rate. Click an affiliate to open their detail page.

Use the period selector to switch between **All time**, **Last 30 days**, and **Last 90 days**.

The leaderboard is **available on all plans** and needs no setup. (Affiliates can see a leaderboard in their portal too, when you enable it — see [The affiliate portal](https://github.com/wand-referrals-app/wand-referrals/tree/codex/gitbook-docs-foundation/docs/manual/portal/the-affiliate-portal/README.md).)

## Motivation hub

**Motivation is currently a settings-and-readiness surface, not an incentive execution engine.** Its four sections record configuration, show status, and link to the modules that own executable behavior. Saving a Motivation toggle by itself does not create, evaluate, award, or display a reward:

| Section | What it does | Plan |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------- |
| **Coupons** | Readiness/settings linked to the existing coupon and program systems | Growth (anti-leak) |
| **Media Gallery** | Readiness/settings linked to the separately gated creatives surface | All plans after rollout |
| **Gifts** | Baseline configuration only; no Motivation-owned qualification or delivery engine | Professional |
| **Bonuses** | Readiness notes only; no supported executable-rule editor is currently available | Growth after rollout |

### Record milestone readiness

1. Open **Motivation → Bonuses**.
2. Record the intended trigger, threshold, and reward description as a readiness note.
3. Save the setting for planning and launch review.

This does **not** create or update an executable program bonus rule. Although the runtime can evaluate provider-configured milestone rules, the merchant admin does not currently provide a supported editor for them. Do not promise a gift, bonus, automatic award, or progress display based on a Motivation setting. Treat milestone execution as unavailable until the dedicated configuration workflow is released and validated.
