# Integrations overview

## What it does

Wand Referrals connects to your marketing, CRM, subscription, and analytics tools so affiliate data flows where you need it. Most integrations are configured in **Settings → Integrations**. New and rewrapped credentials use the encrypted secret store; guarded dual-read compatibility for legacy plaintext values remains until the backfill is verified complete for the deployment. Existing values show a masked `••` placeholder and are only overwritten if you type a new value. CRM integrations require the **Professional** plan.

**Also in the Integrations tab:** PayPal payout-provider setup; Stripe secret-key storage for a guarded provider adapter whose required connected-account onboarding is not implemented (so Stripe payouts are unavailable to merchants and affiliates); subscription-app compatibility (Loop, Skio, Appstle, Recharge, Bold, Seal, Recurpay); affiliate-facing extensions (Facebook Pixel, postback URL); Google reCAPTCHA; and third-party/headless store tracking.

The guarded Wise adapter uses provider-managed environment configuration. Merchant Settings has no Wise credential fields and no interactive payout action invokes it, so Wise automatic payouts are currently unavailable; use the documented manual bank-transfer path instead.

## Server-side analytics (GA4 & Meta)

Native Shopify `orders/paid` processing does **not** forward customer or order data to GA4 or Meta. That legacy environment-variable adapter was retired because the order webhook does not carry a current Shopify tracking-consent signal. Storefront analytics must use the consent-aware theme app embed, which runs only when Shopify reports the required purpose consent. The affiliate-facing "Facebook Pixel" toggle in the Integrations tab is separate and remains subject to Shopify marketing and sale-of-data consent.

If the retired server adapter was previously configured, source removal alone is not credential retirement. Wand operators must complete the controlled runtime-secret removal and provider-token revocation procedure before treating that integration as retired.

## SMS (Twilio)

SMS sending uses Twilio and is configured via environment variables (`TWILIO_ACCOUNT_SID`/`TWILIO_AUTH_TOKEN`/`TWILIO_FROM_NUMBER`), not a settings screen.

## Reliability principle

Active outbound integrations are designed to fail soft so they do not block core order or payout flows. The CRM connectors labeled as previews above currently save/test configuration only, so no lifecycle delivery should be inferred from a successful connection test.
