# Program creatives (production rollout gate pending)

> **Production status:** The upload rollout is not approved, and the repository does not yet enforce a universal server-side upload kill switch. The gallery behavior below documents the implemented preview for authorized non-production validation only; do not upload production or customer material. Launch requires the server-side gate, verified denial evidence, review, and separate rollout approval.

## What it does

The **media gallery** is where you upload marketing assets — banners, product images, PDFs, and short videos — for your affiliates to download and share. Each program (campaign) has its own gallery, and the assets appear on the affiliate's **Links & coupons** page in the portal.

Open it from a program: **Programs → open a program → Media Gallery**.

## Upload an asset in an authorized validation environment

1. In the program's **Media Gallery**, open **Upload new asset**.
2. Choose a **File (max 5 MB)**. Supported types include images, `.pdf`, `.zip`, Office documents (`.doc/.docx/.xls/.xlsx/.ppt/.pptx`), and video (`.mp4/.mov`).
3. Add an optional **Description** (e.g. "Spring banner 1200x628") so affiliates know what each file is.
4. Click **Upload**.

Limits are enforced when you save:

* **5 MB per file.**
* **50 MB total per program.** The page header shows how much is used and how much remains.

Uploading and deleting assets requires the **Campaigns: write** permission and is recorded in the audit log.

## How affiliates get the creatives

Affiliates see the gallery under **Media & marketing assets** on their portal **Links & coupons** page, where each asset shows a thumbnail (or a file/PDF/video icon) and a **Download** button. An affiliate only sees the assets for **their own assigned program** — if they aren't attached to a program, they see none, and the section is hidden entirely when a program has no assets.

## Plan availability

After the upload capability receives rollout approval, the media gallery is intended to be available on every plan. Plan eligibility does not substitute for the pending server-side rollout gate; merchant permission and affiliate program assignment remain additional controls.

## Not the same as Attachments

A program also has an **Attachments** screen. That is the *opposite* direction — it collects files that **affiliates submitted** through registration-form file-upload fields (scanned for viruses via Shopify Files). Use **Media Gallery** to *give* assets to affiliates; use **Attachments** to *review* files they sent you.
